This is what the typical creative process for making a video usually looks like, divided into three main chapters:
Pre-production
Here your ideas can come to life, turning what you have in your head, into tangible imagery (through drawings, for example). This preparation of your project can really be a huge cost-saver.
Production
This is where that carefully planned idea can grow, to become a video, a 2D-, 3D-, or any other kind of animation, a sculpture, an artwork, an interactive experience, or anything you want, really.
Post-production
Now the final touches are applied. By carefully mapping out your ideas and requirements in pre-production, this phase is used to add vfx, sound and to make things extra pretty, so the final result really hits the mark.
