This is where your ideas take shape, sometimes even before they're born. Pre-visualisations like storyboards and animatics are a vital part of any production, both in animation and live-action. Anything can be visualised in the blink of an eye: on paper, in virtual 3D, or in an real life experience- it's all possible, and can save you a lot of time during production.

For a single (Fjam fjam) by the band Pudding Oo (Adriaan van de Velde, Bert Cools, Stijn Cools, Dries Laheye) some animations were made, with a strong focus on the rhythm, musicality and laid-back beat-driven track that Fjam fjam is.

VTM Personnel Birthday Video
For VTM a detailed storyboard was made, revealing technical difficulties well in advance of production, and giving all parties involved a chance to 'read' their story. This made adapting the script, preparing for casting and blocking (and much more) a lot easier, especially in a production that heavily involved CGI and Post-production.
